Many users are worried about the slow drying of water-based paint and poor paint effect. In fact, different drying methods have significant differences in the drying speed and film quality of water-based paint. The specific drying methods are as follows:

1. Natural boring: Natural boring method is simple and widely used, but at the same time, it has the advantages of slow boring speed. Under natural conditions, the temperature, humidity and wind speed are constantly changing, and the boring speed and film-forming quality are unstable. Or in the case of relatively high humidity, the coating simply turns white, the drying speed is slow, and the drying speed is very slow at low temperatures; especially at 5°C, it is difficult for water-based coatings to form a film.

2. Hot air drying: The hot air drying is based on the principle of convection, using hot air at a temperature of 40-60℃ as the heat carrier to transfer heat energy to the coating on the surface of the workpiece, and the coating absorbs energy and solidifies into a film. The method is to use electricity or steam as the heat source. The air is heated first, and the heat is transferred from the hot air to the surface of the coating by convection, so that the coating can be quickly dried out. The hot air drying process can significantly accelerate the drying speed of the coating, and has the characteristics of strong adaptability, which is a widely used drying method.

3. UV drying: the drying method of UV curing can be used. The water-based baking paint contains a small amount of photosensitizer. Under the irradiation of UV, the photosensitizer absorbs the specific wavelength of ultraviolet light, decomposes to produce active groups, and initiates the polymerization of film-forming substances. The reaction forms a network structure to cure the coating.

4. Infrared drying: infrared curing can be used to dry the coating of water-based baking paint. The so-called infrared curing actually means that the painted furniture panels and their coatings absorb the radiant energy and convert it into heat under the irradiation of infrared rays. Finish the curing of the coating. Infrared is an invisible ray, between visible light and microwave, with a wavelength of 0.72-1000um.

After reading the above sharing of boring methods of water-based paint, you don't have to worry about it anymore in the future.
